Questions and answers about the new scheme
When will I be transferred to the new CSQS scheme?
You will be transferred to CSQS shortly after the last examination results from
the current scheme have been released. This will be from February 2011, and you
will receive a letter detailing your personal transfer arrangements from ICSA, UK.
Will I be required to sit any additional module?
You will receive a credit for all completed modules. Therefore you will not be required
to sit any additional modules.
Will I be given any additional exemptions?
No - the exemptions that you were awarded on the current scheme will be transferred
across to the new CSQS scheme.
I was unable to sit the November 2010 examinations (due to ill-health)
and have been granted a postponement. What will happen to the module I postponed?
Your postponement will be transferred to the relevant CSQS module, subject to paying
the postponement fee. You will have to sit the module at the next examination session.
I deferred my November 2010 examination entry to June 2011, what
will happen to my entry? Which module will I have to sit in June 2011?
Your examination entry will transfer to the relevant CSQS module.
Can I use the current study texts which I have for the CSQS modules?
NO - you will need to purchase the new study texts relevant to the module. ICSA
will release information about these texts once they become available.
I do not want to be transferred to the new CSQS scheme. Can I
have a refund of monies already paid?
No - if you have not completed the current scheme, you will automatically be transferred
to the new CSQS scheme. Fees are non-refundable.
Should I be taking the modules in any particular order?
If you are required to sit and pass any of the modules from CSQS Level 1 you are
strongly advised to sit these before attempting modules from CSQS Level 2. The modules
in Level 1 provide the underpinning knowledge for Level 2. If you are taking the
Chartered Secretaries Case Study module, this must be taken after completing all
other modules.
Will the examination date still be the same?
Yes - the examination will continue to take place in June and November of each year.
Can I choose another module on the scheme instead of the module
which has been specified on my transfer arrangements?
No - you must sit and pass the modules specified in your transfer letter to be sent
by ICSA
What do I do now?
Carry on studying on the current scheme and ICSA will contact you in February 2011
with your personal transfer arrangements.
